PHOTOGRAPHY 3
Semester Course Grades 11, 12 ½ Unit In this advanced-level course, students will further explore various photographic techniques and skills incorporating them with technological advancements in the field, including computer facilitated project work. All students will become well-versed in Adobe Photoshop. Applications will include scanning, cropping and compositional redesigning and manipulation, text and pasteup, dodging and burning and solarization. There is a final critique. Prerequisite: Photography 2. |
PHOTOGRAPHY 4
Semester Course Grades 11, 12 ½ Unit In this advanced level course, students will continue to utilize techniques and skills acquired in Photography 3. After investigating how photography has become an integral part of visual communication in our society, the student will be given further opportunity to focus on individual photographic interests, directions or styles, i.e., photojournalism, documentary, advertising, commercial. This will allow the opportunity to build a photographic portfolio. Students will be responsible for display of their photographs inside the school setting as well as in outside showings. There is a final critique. Prerequisite: Photography 3. |
