PHOTOGRAPHY 1
Semester Course Grades 10, 11, 12 ½ Unit This is a basic elective Photography course in black and white only. Some of the topics covered are: using the camera, proper exposure, composition, developing the negative, making the print, nature of light and use of filters. The course includes use of the darkroom and photo assignments. It is suggested that students have their own single-lens reflex cameras. Students will display their photographs. There is a final critique. |
PHOTOGRAPHY 2
Semester Course Grades 10, 11, 12 ½ Unit In this course, individual photographic techniques are stressed. Students have the opportunity to work with flood lights, film and paper. Additional areas for practical work include advanced display. It is suggested that students have their own single-lens reflex cameras. There is a final critique. Prerequisite: Photography 1. |
